The education department of Andhra Pradesh has declared 7 days holidays for Sankranti festival to all the private and government schools will be remained close from 12th Jan to 18th Jan 2023. The schools will be reopened on January 19, 2023.

Andhra Pradesh Sankranti Holidays: Andhra Pradesh government has declared Sankranti holidays for schools from January 11 to January 16. As per the calendar, the schools will reopen on January 17 after a short vacation.
This year, Pongal will be celebrated from January 2024, to January 2024 as it’s a four-day festival. Each day of Pongal is marked by different festivities; the first day is called Bogi Pandigai, the second day is called Thai Pongal, the third day is called Mattu Pongal and the fourth day is called Kannum Pongal.
