In Press notification issued in the reference 1 read above qualifying marks for selection of candidates in VI class Entrance Test April 2018 for admission into VI class in A P. Model Schools for the academic year, 2018-19 was fixed as 50 marks for OCIBC candidates and 35 marks for SCIST candidates.

After selection list with the above qualifying marks the number of seats is left over unfilled in certain schools and some of the Principals of Model Schools have represented to reduce the cutoff marks to enable them to fill all the leftover seats.

Taking into consideration the request of the Principals of Model Schools the Commissioner of School Education & Ex-officio Project Director AP Model Schools is pleased to reduce the cut off marks from 50 marks to 40 marks in case of OC/BC candidates and 35 marks to 30 marks in case of SC/ST candidates and permit the Principals of Model Schools to fill the leftover seats with the above cut off marks and display in notice board with the consent of the committee.
After filling the vacant seats with the above cut off marks if seats are still not filled the same may be allotted to non-locals who applied for admission as per merit list and reservation.
Further, the Principals of AP Model Schools are requested to give a press note in local newspapers and conduct test on 25-05-2018 F.N among the applicants at the school level and select meritorious students in leftover vacancies existing in Vil to X classes for admissions during the academic year 2018-2019.
